Mr. William Shakespeare.

On the 23rd of April 1564, William Shakespaeare, widely regarded as the greatest wrighter in the English language, was born and raised in Stratford-Upon-Avon, now a very popular tourist attraction. Mr William Shakespeare died on the 23rf April 1616, his 52nd birthday.
At the age of 18, Shakespeare married 26 year-old Anne Hathaway. Only six months after the marriage, Anne gave birth to a daughter named Susanna. Followed by twins, son Hamnet and daughter Judith who were born two years after Anne's firstborn. In late 1596, Hamnet died of an unknown cause at the age of 11.

William's career consisted of 38 plays, 154 sonnets and 2 long narrative poems. He produced most of his known work between 1589 and 1613. His early plays were mainly comedies and histories, genres he raised to the peak of sophistication by the end of the 16th century. He then wrote mainly tragedies until about 1608, including Hamlet, King Lear, Othello, and Macbeth, considered some of the finest works in the English language. In his last phase, he wrote tragicomedies, also known as romances, and collaborated with other playwrights.

Shakespeare was buried in the chancel of the Holy Trinity Church two days after his death. The epitaph carved into the stone slab covering his grave includes a curse against moving his bones, which was carefully avoided during restoration of the church in 2008:
Good frend for Iesvs sake forbeare,
To digg the dvst encloased heare.
Bleste be ye man yt spares thes stones,
And cvrst be he yt moves my bones.

(Modern spelling: Good friend, for Jesus' sake forbear, | To dig the dust enclosed here. | Blessed be the man that spares these stones, | And cursed be he that moves my bones.)

Poem 2 (T.V)

It's square geometric shape,
Brings joy to many viewers.

It's voiceful  sound of hosts,
From musicians  to beer brewers.

Used to play my Xbox,
Playstation and Wii.

Or watch my favourite episodes,
Like American Idol and Glee.

O' the entertainment it brings,
To children like you and me.

A precious loved object,
I like to call, T.V.

39 Clues.. The Black Circle

A strange telegram lures fourteen-year-old Amy Cahill and her younger brother, Dan, deep into Russia and away from the only trustworthy adult they know. Signed with the initials NRR, the telegram launches a race to uncover a treasure stolen by Nazis and the truth behind the murdur of the last Russian royal family. All too soon, the treasure hunt starts to smell like a Lucian trap. But the bait might just be irresistible...what will Amy and Dan risk to find out what really happened on the night their parents died?

After the Madrigals attack the Ekaterina stronghold, Amy, Dan, and their au pair, Nellie, move to a different hotel and are given a mysterious telegram from a person known only as NRR. The telegram includes an airport locker number, and some of the letters in Dan and Amy's names are underlined. Nellie is still asleep, so they take her cell phone and leave her a note saying that they went to buy some doughnuts. But on the way to the Cairo International Airport, they are chased by Ian and Natalie Kabra, competitors in the race to find the 39 clues hidden around the world. However, they eventually lose the Kabras and find what they are looking for: the locker mentioned in the telegram. They find a glass paperweight with a key in the bottom, and it is holding down a piece of parchment with scrambled letters. They also find a box with disguises and two passports showing them with the disguises on, plus a Russian guide book with two tickets to Volgograd, Russia.

After boarding their plane, Amy and Dan unscramble the words on the parchment by adding the underlined letters in their names and find out that information about the next clue is in the following Russian cities: Volgograd, Moscow, Yekaterinburg, St. Petersburg and the following Siberian cities: Magadan and Omsk. The Clue seems to follow the murder of the last Russian Royal family, the Romanovs. After arriving at Volgograd, Amy and Dan meet and work with the Holts, climbing the inside of The Motherland Calls to discover a hint to the clue around Rasputin, Anastasia Romanov and Alexei Romanov. They check out the cities on the list they found by the eye of the statue, leading them to the place Rasputin died. During an attack by the Kabras, the Holts alert them of a location code which guides them to a Lucian base. There, they discover who the mysterious NRR is. Nataliya Ruslanovna Radova, the only daughter of Anastasia. They also find the clue in the Amber Room, located by Nataliya. In the Amber Room, they found fake Australian passports of their parents, meaning they also went on the hunt for the Clues but never finished. They run into Irina and the man in black. They safely make it out of the Church on the Blood, and with Nellie on her way, Dan calls Hamilton and gives him the clue, 1 gram of melted amber. The book ends with the Holts ending their alliance with Amy and Dan.

Poem - Kettle

Kettle, kettle, I love you kettle
You have some curves and shiny metal.
You are my life, you fill my cup
You give me reason to wake up.
When times are hard, and not so right
You change my day and make it bright.
I've looked around and seen the rest
But I have to say, you are the best.

OLYMPIC OPINIONS.. (surfing)

Surfing should be an Olympic sport because it is a very unique sport. It involves swimming, agility and strategy. In the Olympics, a wave pool could be used so judging would be based on the same criteria for all surfers, including wave conditions, time period, and number of rides. Luck in catching the biggest and best waves would not factor into the competition.

Many surfers have won Olympic medals for swimming, even though the reason they are so fast is because of the swimming practice they have gained from surfing. These swimming surfers could show their true abilities if they could also win medals in surfing. For example, Duke Paoa Kahanamoku, the “king” of surfing, went to the 1912 Olympics in Stockholm, Sweden with the American team, and broke the record for the 100-yard freestyle, winning the gold medal. When it was time for the 1920 games at Antwerp, Belgium, Duke was 30 and too old to try out for the American team. But he whipped himself back into shape and broke his previous world record in the 100 meter sprint with a time of 60.4 seconds.

On the other hand the physical exertion involved in surfing would become less of a factor since there would be no need to paddle out through the current to the waves. Also, most surfers surf in salt water and the salt water boards are different then a fresh water board, so the movement of board could change.

Surfing should become a Olympic sport, I think the reason its not one yet is because people do not take surfers seriously. Most of the people who run the Olympics believe that ice skating or the high jump are real sports, but surfing is more of a sport than both of them and many of the other sports involved in the Olympics.

OLYMPIC OPINIONS.. (boxing)

The Olympic sports I like the most are those that require skills so basic that almost anyone can try them, like running, jumping and throwing. Boxing falls into this category because anyone can try to hit someone else as hard as they can. Unfortunately, Olympic boxing has so many faults that, despite its long history in the Games, it is time to eliminate it from the Olympic program.

To begin with, boxing is one of only two Olympic sports in which the world’s best athletes are not eligible. The other such sport, soccer, at least allows some professionals to take part. Boxing also has a weird scoring system. A successfully executed jab earns one point. A knockdown earns the same one point. But what makes boxing really unacceptable is the corruption and incompetence of the referees and the judges. There have been so many outrageous decisions during the 2012 London Olympics that it is difficult to pick out the worst. Although it was later reversed, how about the “victory” of Magomed Abdulhamidov of Azerbaijan despite the fact that he fell to the ground six times in one round?

If this year’s suspicious incidents were unusual, perhaps they could be overlooked. However, they are actually only the latest in a long string of dubious decisions. American boxing fans might recall the 1988 light middleweight final in which Roy Jones outpunched Park Si-hun of South Korea 86 to 32 … and lost the fight. Even Park apologized to Jones, but the decision was not reversed. Similar Olympic outrages have been documented as far back as 1924, leading to sit-down protests, full-scale riots and even boxers punching referees.

It is worth noting that other judged combat sports in the Olympics, although not devoid of controversy, have managed to avoid the absurdities of boxing. These include judo, wrestling, fencing and tae kwon do.

Greatest Olympic Moments..

In Beijing 2008, Michael Phelps, a world champion swimmer targeted for eight gold medals. He managed the first six with world records. The seventh was controversial, when he was adjudged to have won by one-thousandth of a second. Omega, the time keepers and Phelps' sponsors, later admitted that Milorad Cavic had touched the wall first but said that he had not pressed hard enough to register first. Phelps secured his eighth in the 4x100m medley relay, in another record time.

Collaborative Story.

I then look over to Casey who is dosing off. “Casey!” I yell trying to wake her up. “Casey!” I yell again in a desperate attempt before we cross over the center lines. “Casey!” I scream as I see the oncoming headlights......

In panic, I reach  for the steering wheel, but my buckle is holding me back. Arms shaking now, a moment of life and death. I undo my seatbelt and jerk at the wheel. The car drifted of the road, smashing into a pedestrian. I knew this wasn't going to end well. My best friend that I had just met yesterday, has just past away, and I am all alone. I manage to take a glance at the time. 12.22am. It all happened so fast. As I look to my left, a horrid figure appeared behind the bush. This 'thing' looked just like a deformed rag doll, only worse!! It was limping toward me with it's arm point at me. A moment later, I turned toward where Casey had been driving in the car, but came to an imense shock. Casey was not there!! I turned back toward the Zombie. It was creeping up on me. Then suddenly I saw a red ribbon amongst the Zombie's bushy hair. Precisely like the one Casey had been wearing. That only means one thing. Casey is the ZOMBIE!! I knew that if I didn't try to get out of the car soon, I would get eaten by my best friend and become one of her. So I stretched my arm out toward the door, and yanked at the handle. The door was on a padlock and Casey had the key!!.....

Lazy Homework!!

"Have you done your homework?"asked Jason's mother. "Oh mom!"Jason replied "Quit playing with the dog and get in that bedroom and do your homework!" Jason reluctantly released the sock that he had been pulling from Cocoa's mouth and the dog stood there in silence, waiting for her master to return to playing their game of tug-of-war. "Can't a kid have some fun?" "You've had enough fun today. Right now, it's time for your homework." "Listen to your mother," the father insisted. "I told you how important your homework is." "Oh yeah, like my whole life's gonna end if I don't do my stupid homework." "Hey, young man, you watch your mouth!" The father had been reading the evening paper from the family room couch but now he directed his full attention to his sarcastic son. Jason remained on the floor near Cocoa, fully expecting a tongue-lashing by his father. He was determined to remain defiant, but his father's large imposing stature and the swiftness with which he was capable of pulling out his belt, quickly diminished his boldness. "We've been too merciful on you this year and your grades are down. But that's gonna change. From now on I want you to automatically do that homework of yours after dinner. And I don't want to have to tell you about it, again." Jason slammed his fist into the soft, carpeted floor before rising. He was aware of his disobedience, yet he wished to make a stand. "I don't know what the big deal is," he sharply replied. "The big deal is: we want you to have a future." "I don't understand what's wrong with you kids today," the mother chided him. "They can't make it any easier for you." "Oh right, like it was so much harder when YOU were kids." Jason's rude response surprised even him. "You're sure right it was," the father argued. He hopped off the couch and approached his bold son. "We didn't have all the luxuries like you kids have today. And we didn't talk back to our parents the way you kids do." "It's tougher being a kid today," Jason declared, slowly backing away from his father. "You didn't have all the problems we have. We have a lot more pressure today." "All right, just for that, you're grounded! Now get in that room of yours and do your homework! And stay there for the rest of the night." What did I do?" Jason cried out in surprise. "You know very well what you did! You better start watching that mouth of yours, boy, 'cause I've about had it with your sarcastic remarks!" Jason stormed out of the family room and headed down the hallway to his bedroom. Cocoa loyally followed him, wagging her tail. The mother and father gazed at each other in silence for several long moments. Their son's laziness was becoming a growing problem and they were uncertain how to handle it. His behavior baffled them because they had always stressed the importance of work to their son. Where had he developed such apathy? They shook their heads in dismay before resuming their prior activities.

The father returned his attention to the evening paper which was displayed on the family room ceiling-viewer. He floated comfortably two feet above the flat, bed-shaped, anti-gravity couch, with his arms folded casually behind his head. "Turn to Sports," he commanded. Page one of the Sports' section instantly appeared on the ceiling-viewer. The mother reclined on the shape-shifting rocking chair, which naturally altered its shape to provide the maximum comfort to its host. She reached over to the house's computer control panel, pressed a red button and ordered, "Othello, please." Colorful, life-like, computer generated, hologram actors suddenly appeared in their family room and began to act out Shakespeare's classical play. Her left hand tightly gripped her Tension-Ball, which absorbed all the stress and anxiety from her mind and body. "I hope we aren't pushing him too much," the mother noted worriedly. "You know, it's not good to push a child too much, either." "The boy's got to learn that life's not easy," the father firmly replied. "No one's gonna hand you anything today. You have to work for it." He reached out and grabbed a snack made, and served to him on a tray, by their government-issued robot. "Rays, please," he commanded, as he munched on his delectable after-dinner snack. An invisible beam was instantly emitted from the anti-gravity couch and was directed at its occupant. Gentle bursts of stress-relieving heat and comforting waves of inaudible sound, vibrated and massaged his aching back and his stiff neck. "These four-hour work days are killing me," he mumbled to himself. "I hope we're doing the right thing." "That boy's taking everything for granted," the father abruptly added in anger. "And we've got to put a stop to it right now." "I guess so," the mother softly replied. Her eyes were already closed - her mind and body drained of all the anxiety that was the result of the previous argument. She was beginning to drift into a deep, relaxing sleep.

Jason was fuming in his bedroom. He hurled his pillow against the wall in i anger before roughly grabbing his homework assignment for the night. "They don't understand," he bitterly complained, directing his comments to Cocoa. "Things are tougher today. They don't have any idea what it's like being a kid." But since no reasonable alternative to his problem existed, he reluctantly placed aside his resentment and began to work. He inserted the homework disk into his player, grabbed the long connecting cord, and inserted its metal end into the socket in the back of his head. Like everyone else, his cerebral socket had been implanted at birth. Jason always hated downloading his homework into his brain. He swore it was the longest two minutes of the day.

Book Review.. (Maze of Bones)

14 year-old Amy and   11 year-old Dan are part of a very select group: they are two of only a handful of people with blood connections to the powerful Cahill family named in the will of their recently deceased grandmother, matriarch Grace Cahill. These beneficiaries are given a simple choice: they can walk away from the will reading with $1,000,000 and, in doing so, renounce all claims to any other piece of Cahill legacy, or they can surrender this inheritance for something potentially far more valuable: the secret that makes the Cahills the most powerful and influential family in human history. A secret that will be revealed through a worldwide scavenger hunt for 39 clues, of which there can be only one winner. With their parents lost in a fire years before and hoping to flee the guardianship of their tyrannical Aunt Beatrice, the siblings see little choice but to track down the 39 clues in the hopes of securing their futures.

A series of mini clues involving Benjamin Franklin, a distant Cahill relative, sends the pair on a chase that takes them from their home in Boston to Philadelphia and, eventually, across the sea to Paris. Adding a sense of urgency to their quest is the understanding that, never far behind, is a legion of their scheming, underhanded relatives who would do anything to win the game...and the easiest way to be victorious is to take out the competition. Alliances are made and broken, traps are plotted and sprung, and the only rule to live by is the parting advice given to Dan and Amy by their grandmother's attorney: trust no one.

Martin Luther King jr ... Adolf Hitler ... Global Warming

Martin Luther King jr was born on January 15, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia. He grew up to be a very intelligent man. In 1948, he graduated highschool with a BA degree in Sociology. In March 17-25 in 1965, King jr, along with other protestors marched from Selam to Montgomery as they voiced their right to vote. He led another march in Memphis for striking sanitation workers which tragically ended in violence. He was awarded 5 honory degrees, was named man of the year by Time magazinein 1963, and became both a symbolic leader of American blacks and a world figure. One of his many famous speeches was 'I Have a Dream'. Martin was arrested 20 times and assaulted atleast four times for his bravery. He was a Diplomatic Ambassador of Peace. He was a strong man of faith, integrity, justice and values.

Adolf Hitler was the leader of the Nazis from 1921 - 1945 and was the dictator of Gemany from
1933 - 1945. Hitler gained power facing crisis after WWI. The Nazi party maintained concentration camps throughout the territories they controlled. The slave-laborers varied from Jews to homosexuals, from gypsies to criminals. The concentration camps had many slave workers, working for members of the Nazi party, doing garden work and building. When the workers thought they were going for a bath, the Nazis would put them in a dark room, and throw gas through the roof. They would then suffer and die immediatly. Hitler was a very victourious person for Germany when he became president of Deutsland. He died in April 1945. I think Adolf was a very inconsiderate and inhumane person, for all the things that he did, and all the deaths he caused to very innocent people.

Global Warming is known as one of the biggest issues of the generation. Global Warming will cause sea levels to rise and will change the amount and pattern of presipitation. Other likely effects of the warming include more frequent occurrence of extreme weather events including heat waves, droughts and heavy rainfall, species extinctions due to shifting temperature regimes, and changes in crop yields. Global Warming affects the Arctic the most, because of its ice and snow. The ice would melt, which would cause sea levels to rise, and polar bears and penguins would possibly die. I think that global warming is worried a little too much, in the sense that the earth climate isn't changing apidly. Global Warming shouldn't be a major until about 10 years time...

Character : Photographer
Setting: At a sports event
Time: During a forest fire
Situation: a death has occured

It is exactly 11.23am. The sun is making its way through the clouds. The heat on my face, as I prepare the lens. The game starts in a couple of minutes. The crowd beaming with sound. Cheering in the heat of the morning. The sound of commentators, vaguely in the distance. With the wind interupting it's words. I have been waiting for this day all my life. My  name is Ella Vader, I am a 19 yr old student, studying at Hardnox University. It is my first day on the job, working at IMPACT daily sports magazine. When I heard the good news, my eyes gleamed, giving me the feeling that this is all just a dream. But it's not, its for real!! The crowd still roaring as I try to hear myself think. The sun is now out. I feel like I'm being watch by a million stars. The teams run on to the pitch. As commentators impress with their words, the crowds become more alive then ever.

11.31am and I'm dying of thirst! I ring up the department of sports catering. I ask if the photographers get any drinks. I give him my name and my registered code. "Sure, we'll be right there in just a sec," he replied. Phewf! Finally! A need has been filled. Moments later, my right pocket begins to twitch and vibrate. I check, and it's a call from my boss. "G'day mate. We've got a scenario at area 2 54, case 108. A forest fire is on the go. We need you at the scene to get some close range footage. This will give you the oppurtunity to take your career to the next level." With and HUGE grin on my face, I reply, "with honor Sir." Somehow I managed to sneak out of the stadium with out any one noticing. For a moment there, I thought I should have joined the spy academy. LOL!! Anyways... the sun is still piercing my skin as I pack my kit in my new company vehicle. My very own trusty VW Kombi... EPIC! The traffic on the highway is amazingly busy, but I manage to find a gap, cruising at 90 mph.

I arrive at the fire. The scene is at the Hill Range Park Reserve. Down by the golden estuary. I grab out my camera. As I walk to the fire, there in the midst of the holocaust, my boss, Roger McLovin, lyes on the grass, lifeless and fallen. The firefighters, rush in to rescue the old chap, but it's too late. Mr McLovin has perished. The most devistating situation to take in at once. I take the photographs, but the feeling was not the best. Capturing moments of a well respected man, who began my life as a photographer.

The next morning, my snapshots on the front cover of L8TIST magazine, making me bawl with many emotions flowing. I didnt know whether to be happy for my first day on the job, or to be torn-down by the fatality of my hero.

Well it is a year later now, and I currently work at Lunes Menareos, one of the most viewed gossip magazines. And well I guess that life is life and the only way we can succeed is by moving forward. Memories could be forgotton, but people will be cherrished forever!!

THE END

How TO...

This week I have chosen to show you 'How To' make a paper aeroplane. a.k.a 'The Moth'.
Click on my link below to view the website. Stay tuned for some step by step pictures from me!!
http://www.10paperairplanes.com/how-to-make-paper-airplanes/01-the-moth.html
I chose to make a paper aeroplane because it appeals to me and it's my interest, and i thougth that it would be interesting to make something a little more difficult then the usual paper plane.

So you need an ordinary A4 piece of paper..

Fold the piece of paper exactly in half, dividing the page in 2.
Take the 2 top corners of the page and fold them to the centre line.
Now you take the point of the 2 folds you just did, and fold it down to the half way line.

Fold the 2 top corners, so that they both meet together in the middle.
You will now see a little point at the bottom of the folds you just did, and fold it up.
Turn your page over on to the other side. You shouldn't be able to see any folds.

Fold your page in half so that it looks like this.
Fold the outside edge of the plane down, so that the wing runs parallel to the bottom of the plane.
Turn your plane over and do the same that you did in the previous step.

So there you have your first 'Moth' paper plane. The plane may need abit of adjustments. If the plane dives down, then you may need to bend the wings a little bit up, and if the plane goes up then you may need to bend the wings a little bit down. I hope the instructions were clear. Thanks for your time.
